Audio Players for Windows

Audio Players for Windows

With so many devices and screen sizes nowadays, you might find yourself using different audio apps for different scenarios. For the PC, a favourite audio player for lots of people for many years - was Winamp, but development for Winamp stopped. Now, we have this Tweet from Eddy Richman on the Winamp team.

Recently on the PC, I keep coming back to AIMP. It has tons of features and customization options, great functionality, and some amazing skins from the community.

For a tablet device, I also like Groove. Its simplistic touch-and-play layout doesn't amaze, but it is functional, works well in Windows 10, and works well with Cortana, too.

Some audiophiles swear by foobar2000 and nothing else. But with an emphasis on audio and less on looks, its minimalistic UI is not for everyone.

If I want to take up the whole screen, or 2 screens, I really like the UI of Kodi (originally XBMC). In its size it reminds me of the old Windows Media Center, and it's great visualizations really light up a room, and remind me of enjoying the fullscreen MilkDrop visualizations in the Winamp days.

So, show me the audio players already!

This page includes most of the more popular audio players for Windows. They're shown in no particular order.
