OUT OF BODY Experience

I wasn't really sure how to start this page or introduce this topic.
The letters OBE commonly and correctly refer to Order of the British Empire. If you have the letters OBE after your name then it means Officer of the Order of the British Empire. That's all very grand but not half as enticing as the other very different meaning to OBE..

`Out of Body Experience'.

The letters NDE are also commonly whispered in the same sentence and they stand for `Near Death Experience'.

It's quite unfortunate that some of the greatest treasures in life are often secretly guarded or in the very least kept out of sight or at arms length.

In the case of OBE's, they can easily be filed under `NEW AGE', that optimistic, feel good section in the library all too often taken advantage of by charlatans with rose colored promises.

But once in a while, an experience comes along with the power to change a persons values, direction and even personality for the foreseeable future..

I'm just an Eikaiwa teacher at the moment here in Japan. That means I teach people English conversation. So obviously part of my job is to talk, but hopefully listen more. (I teach groups too.)

It's been quite an eye opener when people stop talking about the weather, shopping or work and start talking about strangers standing at the end of their bed, or a voice whispered in their ear while they lay in bed unable to move.

Such a conversation might encourage Mr. or Mrs. Proper to uncomfortably reach for their coffee to hide their embarrassment, unease or concern.
On the contrary, for me, it has been a breath of fresh air.

This website is a hobby for me and I am hoping it can be helpful when it comes to introducing information or sharing resources.

As for the topic of Out-of-Body Experiences, you might find it worthwhile doing some research.

For anyone interested in this subject, I recommend the Author William Buhlman.
